Breathing. I thought it was crap for so long till I looked at the science. I started practicing more and it helps so much. Moving and distraction as well. But don't let the distraction turn into avoidance! ♡ . I'll call friends or family, spend time with pets, listen to music, clean, shower. Do something good for myself or sometimes it's best to just cry it out ♡♡♡

very similar to mine. I also do ASL because I have to focus on the signs and not what im triggered by, but everything else is what you mentioned

I would crying. Some of my memories are triggers and if I catch myself thinking about one at work I cant just leave or go anywhere. So I will do my job and silently cry, even ugly cry, because it feels like I'm qt least letting something out. If possible I do find a quiet safe place to cry as well.
