Healthy Weight Loss After Eating Disorder Recovery

I used to have an eating disorder but I’ve recovered. Is there any way to loose weight in a healthy way without relapsing?

Thank y’all! Right now I am on a calorie deficit of 1600 (I am 5’5 and my maintenance is 1800) and focusing on closing my rings on my Apple Watch and getting in 30min-1hour of exercise! So far I have lost 8ish lbs and I think I am doing it a pretty healthy way but idk

I agree with the above. Don't focus on the food 100%, put energy into moving your body and including a well rounded, no restrictions, meal plan. Weight maintenance/loss/gain don't happen overnight. Just strive to gave movement part of your daily routine. I'm not a dr, but moving my body helps me mentally and physically

I find that rather than counting calories just try to be more active and build muscle to improve your physique and not actually weigh your self.

I’ve really tried hard to find a way and I’m sure there is but every attempt has ended with relapse for me. Not saying it can’t be done, but it’s very tricky because losing weight and diets are societies “healthy restriction” which some people with histories of eating disorder when faced with any restriction can find it becomes obsessive again. I’m so glad you’ve recovered and no matter what I just advise you to be extremely careful, because you’ve worked really hard to be where you are
