Battling Bipolar Depression and Anxiety

Hello I am battling bipolar depression. I also have major anxiety and bad thoughts. I deal with the shame of not even wanting to take the more heavier drugs due to a bad experience with abilify that was very scary. I just started vraylar this week and just feel like restless.

I take Cymbalta, abilify, lamictal & buprioprion for my depression. Buspirone & gabapentin for anxiety

but just think about how great it is if it works for you! You gotta try them to know if they work. I was on Zoloft and it put me in such a depressive mood my husband took me to the hospital and I was baker acted for 3 days. That med definitely didn't work but the next med, Latuda, did work for about 2 years!

Vraylar has made a big difference for me. This is the most stable I've been my whole life. I tackle the restlessness with keeping myself busy with a hobby (origami). If you have time for a hobby that might help. I also take benztropine at night to calm any restless movement when I go to bed. Give it some time and I hope it works for you!😁

I was having the same issues and got put on Lithium 1500mg(over the span of like a month) but I dont have the bad thoughts as frequently as I used to and I dont feel as down. Some days it's better than it has been but other days it's a little worse. But the lithium has helped me

That's a common side effect of vraylar. For me it went away with time. I assume they started you on a low dose so if it doesn't wear off you may need to switch. I'm ADD anyway so restlessness is part of my MO.
