7 years it took to get diagnosed and I was diagnosed via Laparoscopic Surgery (the only current diagnostic method)

They suspected I had endometriosis last summer of July 2021 when I went to the ER for severe pelvic pain where I could barely move. After I explained the symptoms I have had in the past and what they found on ultrasounds. They referred me to a gynecologist specialist that eventually did my laparoscopic surgery that confirmed the condition

wow that sounds like it must have been such a tough thing to endure. So sorry to hear you had to go through that! Was your pain always that bad or did it get worse up until that point?

It took awhile, I had to convince my doctor that I had it. They did finally do a transvaginal ultrasound.

did it show up pretty well on the ultrasound? When I did an ultrasound for PCOS they didn’t mention anything so I’m wondering it’d it’s something I need to tell them to look for
