Balancing Recovery Days with Work and School

How do you even balance recovery days with work and school? I’m tired of having to skip classes and meetings because of my chronic pains and depression.

I have this same struggle. My university has a super strict attendance policy so taking recovery days is really tough. I try to remind myself that I don't have to over exert myself in class and wear something comfy. Bring some tea. That way even though I'm not at home I can feel a bit better. But it's tough, sometimes it's hard to get out of bed. And explaining that to other people gets tiring. It's nice not to have to explain it here.

I’m chronically fatigued as well as depressed and I often times have a hard time motivating myself to go to school as well. I try and remind myself that if I don’t go to school I’ll probably get more stressed later when I’m having to play “catch up” or struggle to understand material if I miss an important lecture. I know I might not feel the best when I’m there but I’ll be better off than if I hadn’t gone at at. Sometimes I have bad days and I skip class or work but I just try and remember it’s ok to need a break occasionally and that its ok to struggle. If you have any friends in your classes ask them to maybe take notes for you or let you know if something important is said. Most importantly just remember you aren’t alone and there are people who understand what you are going through 💕
