those little squishy foam earplugs in blue. i have long hair and it’s discreet. i also try to avoid clothes that are very uncomfortable or too loud.

If I cannot escape it quick enough, I cover my ears and try to find a way to avoid it as soon as possible. When I can escape it, I find a safe place nearby, mainly just someplace quiet and find textures that are soft and silky since they are very comforting to me and really calm me down.

i sit on the floor (preferably as close to the ground as possible, grass is my favorite though!) and i sit with my legs crossed while i rock myself! that does require being able to leave the situation, though. i also LOVE thinking putty, i carry tins of it around with me religiously.

I make sure I have safe textures and safe foods in my house 24/7 Outside of my home though I don't really know- I just leave the situation or push myself through it and delay the breakdown as long as I can, which is not a good strategy.
