Has anyone started avoided places and events for the fear of having a panic attack? I’m afraid I’m developing Agoraphobia and need to find a way to jump out of that.

@Stolas ya I’m definitely trying to just make myself go more places. Thank you

Yes! But please fight that. I've been homebound with agoraphobia for years and every time I make progress, I regress just as much due to allowing it taking over my life. It's easier to avoid being homebound than it is to go back out in the world again.

I just have no desire to leave my house unless it's work related, I'm working through the loss of my grandmother, who I took care of until she passed, so I believe it's grief on Top of getting out of a 3 year mentally abusive relationship

@coffeemom79 I’m sooo sorry to hear about your loss. I really am. That’s an awful feeling of sadness. I’m all honesty, I really don’t care to leave my house. I feel my city is boring anyways. But everyone says “you gotta get out there and live”. But I get bored so easily everywhere. Is that an anxiety thing you think? I just get bored and every where I go, I’m ready to leave after like 20 mins lol

@Sheshe4 yes, anxiety when your out can mimic boredom because you're so anxious to be in your comfort zone. It's ok to be a homebody, however, I find that taking walks in the evening is very relaxing and it makes me feel like I'm part of the world.
