I start itching and can't stop normally my feet, hands and back. I also get blisters on my back which are not painful but they do itch.

Hi. I get prickling/stinging (not an itch) on my arms, legs, chest... feels like a billion teeny red ants stinging me. It seems to start randomly, maybe once or twice a week and typically lasts about an hour or two... it makes me completely crazy! Nothing topical stops it, oral antihistamines do nothing, I believe it's neurological. Perhaps Gabapentin would help and my PCP did prescribe it, but I want to avoid the side effects that come with using it. The only relief is if I constantly rub the area, which ultimately breaks my skin. 😥

I have lupus, and skin issues are one of my main symptoms. I have a pretty constant butterfly rash on my face, and my pale skin always had red patches.
