Do any of you have severe knee pain as a result of your autoimmune problems? Did it start all of a sudden and get worse and worse? What meds have helped you? This is my worst symptom of my MCTD.

@ShenNinja I have UCTD too and it kills my joints. Getting up and walking is a really good idea. I have gastroparesis but I take pain meds bc otherwise I am in too much pain to function/move. It is a necessity unfortunately. I think my knee issues are part autoimmune and part mechanical at this point. Thank you for your reply.

I have knee issues too. I was diagnosed with UCTD 6 years ago. Since then my knees have gotten worse and my legs hurt too. Some days worse than others. I usually just try to take it easy and also try to get up and walk every hour or two for like 10-20 mins to lubricate my joints by walking. It helps some but still hurts. I don’t take any pain meds due to having GERD.
@NickGobes75 you’re welcome. I am still trying to find a natural pain killer since I can’t take meds due to GERD. My stomach is already so messed up. I’ve tried THC gummies and didn’t help at all. I do take a daily turmeric supplement which I believe helps some. But yes it typically takes me 2-4hrs to get the energy to get up and move most days unfortunately.

Sometimes I'll be fine and all of a sudden it feels like I got hit with a hammer in either my knee or ankle. They'll just give out on me
@AshleyJ so sorry to hear about your knees. They are terrible joints! Thank you for your reply.
Sometimes my right knee will give out during use.. Like on the stairs.. not a good place for a knee to give out! I've been prescribed, at different times, Prednisone, Methotrexate, Imuran, and currently on hydroxychloroquine. My symptoms started back in 1979-80 while in school, but went undiagnosed. I came out of remission due to personal & occupational stress.
@KJWolf so sorry to hear you came out of remission. Thank you for your reply!
