Living with Multiple Autoimmune Diseases: Does Anyone Else Relate?

I have my doctor stumped, she just put me in a broad spectrum category because she can't narrow it to just a couple...I'm so disappointed and hurt so badly...every joint, muscle and bone in my body is sore

I have so many I have mixed connective tissue disease I have COPD I have lupus I have sclera derma And I’m sure there’s three or four more than I’m forgetting because it’s always something new every day but yes it’s not uncommon once you have one auto immune disease you end up having at least three or four more

I forgot to list IBD. I'll also mention my Dad had ankylosing spondylitis, autoimmune hep C. Eventually, he died from Leukemia & his aged organs shutting down too. He had practically zero WBC for fighting off anything. One needs WBC in order for the antibiotics to work. 😥

Yes? I have been diagnosed with Sjogren’s, but show symptoms of RA, SLE, MCTD, Hashimoto’s, and IBD. It is beyond frustrating how little is understood about autoimmune. I’m pretty sure there’s a new disorder they just haven’t named yet that’s a mix of all these things.

Mine overlap. Started with Dx of Lupus, then changed it to MCTD, mixed connective tissue disease. I also have symptoms of Raynaud's, Sjogrens, psoriatic arthritis, morten's neuroma (not autoimmune but related)
