Struggling with Autoimmune Disease and ER Visits

I'm wondering if you guys had a problem when going to the E.R when you're in Crisis with this autoimmune disease? I've been hospitalized on so many occasions and treated like I wasn't serious about what I'm going through. All they keep talking about is pain killers, something I don't take. But have a problem with controlling the pain and vomiting and frequently going to the bathroom. And all I hear from these er doctors is that it goes away. How I'd like to know if it's autoimmune. I've tried all western medicines with no help. So I'm taking most food off the table as well just not to be in pain. l need help but scared of the stigma that everyone wants pain medicines. I don't, I want to know what helps!

I have SMAS which makes my digestion very painful and the only thing that helps me with my stomach pain and nausea is smoking cannabis. I know it’s not for everyone and there are obviously psychological effects to be aware of but if your symptoms are stomach-related and you don’t want pain medication I would definitely say it is worth a try if you are somewhere where you have access to it.

I agree. Only successful treatment for me so far as well. Definitely recommend trying
