Dealing with Anxiety and Paranoia During Autoimmune Flares

hello đź‘‹ I'm wondering if anyone is dealing with high level of anxiety and paranoia when you are going through a flare with a auto immune disease very stressful which makes matters worse

Yes I deal with that also I take Lexapro daily and it helps me a lot. It keeps me level…. Im also in therapy which helps a lot…I learned that finding a hobby, keeping my thought occupied , don’t engage in or with negativity I even talk to my fur babies and fish that works for me.

I deal with anxiety, but not the paranoia during a flare. I think it may be a signal that the body is trying to send to let you know something is amiss. I find myself less likely to want to be social and friendly during a flare, but due to my job oftentimes I have to still put on the face. It doesn't stop anxiety though.

I developed anxiety out of the blue about 4 years ago I actually thought I was having a heart attack! I was prescribed Xanax and therepy. I rarely use the Xanax since learning how to deal with my anxiety. I actually haven't had a refill in about 4 years! Lately I've been experiencing anxiety. Not sure why, but it's happening again. I just breath and ride it out the way my therapist instructed me. ❤️

I’m not but I will say find some meditation and become active and go outside be busy I would if this was to happen to me…. Keep your mind busy…..
