Nervous about Autism Assessment Appointment Tomorrow

I have a video call autism assessment appointment tomorrow and I'm super nervous. I know I'll be on Google all night after work but wondering if anyone has any last minute tips, advice or reassurance. TIA 😊

For me I shut down but then they let me have a support person and they was super helpful

that's the plan thanks. I'm staying at my sister's overnight to do it there and forgot to bring sensory fidget toys to work with me so I went out on my lunch to buy some because I know I'm going to need them. I don't know the person assessing me just have their name and what the website says about them in their like profile but I'm having my sister around for moral support

I find video calls very stressful and anxiety provoking too, maybe try to be honest about how you're feeling if you feel like you can. Do you know the person who is assessing you? If you do it might make it easier for you to let them know how you're feeling. With autism I also find sensory toys (if that's something that helps you) to be very helpful to keep me grounded and reduce stress, just to have something calming in my hands to reduce anxiety and stop my brain from racing. I hope it goes well, I'm sure you'll be fine! Keep your head up and try to get a good night's sleep!

Just be honest on the call, prepare some things to say ask questions at the end like “so what happens now” and things like that. I had mine recently and it was great, very comforting people. You’ll do great and it’s not a test remember so try to stay calm and treat it like a casual chat

it really doesn't help that I don't know what the better outcome would be for me whether I do or I don't have it
