Attachment Issues with Coaches

Does anyone else ever get attached to one person? Like it used to be my cheer coach and now it’s my dance coach. It’s like I always seek validation from her and ever since I’ve shared my mental health issues (depression, bpd, add, and an eating disorder) it’s like I always find myself wanting to talk to her ab it or wanting her to come and ask me ab my mental health. I get jealous when she gives a ton of attention to the other dancers or when they have struggles and she’s helping them. I hate this about me. It’s so ridiculous and annoying and honestly embarrassing. Idk y I’m like this and y I always attach to someone and constantly wonder if they’re thinking ab me.

I often get attached to people who I shouldn’t attach myself to. Never really ends well

It sounds like you are making them your favorite person. Someone who you are basically "obsessed" with. I feel like my mom is my favorite person because I split on her so bad sometimes.

I attached myself to my best friend and then we fought and stopped talking. I attached myself to my now best friend, they got stressed and asked me to stop- I stopped talking to them for months. I attached myself to a couple guys that didn’t last too long. Now I’m attached to my fiancé.
