Need Help with Asthma-Related Sleep Issues

I can’t sleep at night because my asthma worsens and I wake up with coughing fits! Was wondering if anyone knew any medicine for this or some kind of helpful remedy?

I was having the same issues, badly. My doctor couldn’t or just didn’t want to get it under control so I switched doctors! That doctor put me on an inhaler called anoro and I have not had to use my rescue inhaler or nebulozer since and it’s been since May! Maybe see if your doctor has some samples you can try! To see if it works for you

I use a red inhaler twice a day as well. It's called Symbicort, and it seems to work well.

I would get a blood test to measure whether or not you have “eosinophilic asthma”, which is what I had and it made me wake up in the middle of the night with coughing fits for the longest time. This type of asthma is best treated with a biological injectable (Nucala/Dupixent)

Ever since being hospitalized for the COVID-19 Delta I've been having to use an inhaler here lately I've been having to use it more. I try not to and focus on my breathing but at times that's just not good enough.

I experience this quite frequently I find that if I use an air filter and a humidifier and advair in the morning and my rescue inhaler right before bed along with a daily Zyrtec I do so much better

Take oil of oregano pills before bed. It's not foolproof, but helpful.
