For me, it was..not that much of a surprise. I remember when I was younger and I first started therapy, when I was diagnosed with ADHD and Anxiety someone suggested I may have Autism but my therapist at the time didn’t think so. It was only in recent years that found I had a pattern of hyper fixating on series and I exhibited traits, but was never diagnosed. I was diagnosed last year and I can say now a lot of the problems I have and have been going through for years lines up with having High Functioning Autism.

It was hard and long. I never knew that I would be diagnosed. One doctor refused to and said that I don't have autism. Another doctor instead of testing me for autism took the money and test me for something else. And then finally I got test. And when I got test before the results I was told that the results will mention that I have autism

For me, I went through speech, occupational, and physical therapy to examine to see if I had autism, and even did the same thing for my depression. I also took exams and even had MRIs done so doctors could see if my disorders were present in my brain
