Skin-eating as a coping mechanism for ASD individuals

Hello does anyone else with ASD eat their skin on their fingers when they are overstimulated or underestimated

I peel the skin off my lips a lot when overstimulated, I'm learning different hand movements to sort of replace this (e.g clicking fingers or rubbing my hands together) : )

I not only do the skin on my hands, but I also bite the insides of my cheeks... I do occasionally bite at my shirts

idk if mine is but I’m starting to think so, I’m a late (recent) diagnosis so I’m starting to see more things that I do that could be related
