Approaching a Therapist as a System

Does anyone know how to approach a new therapist about being a system? I know some therapists don’t even believe it’s a real disorder, and weve been brushed off pretty harshly in the past which isn’t something we’re too keen on going through again…

I try to always find a therapist who works with dissociation/dissociative disorders

try to mention it casually with your other psychiatrist diagnoses somewhere on the first appointment, it’s not an abnormal thing to bring up a condition that way

i’d say it right up front to make sure they’re qualified to work with OSDDID systems. if they say they don’t “believe” in systems, do not hesitate to just walk out right then
