TW The notifications I get from this app make me more anxious than I already am. Probably a selfish take, but isn’t this supposed to be a safe space? Why do notifications have to include the post descriptions? Sometimes they mention things like self-harm or health-related ailments. These are things that can really trigger people and it’s not helpful in forming a supportive community. I might delete the app unfortunately. Anybody have any comments or similar experiences?

I would suggest turning off notifications altogether. You can go to the "You" tab, then scroll to the bottom to settings and toggle off push notifications. Hope that helps!

Y'all - just turn notifications off.

They really do send a ridiculous amount of notifications. But I love the community here, the ability to connect with others who are struggling with the same topics and the anonymity so I stay lol.

This app needs a word filter badly

I feel kind of similar tbh…. It’s not like I don’t want people to post those things. Of course they should. But never knowing what my notifications might show me is super not helpful when I already can’t process the bad things in my life, the people around me’s lives, and the country/world. It’s not really a great feature.

@aldrwytch yes! This is exactly the problem! I want to read some of the posts but I keep finding that I’m being notified of some rather intense ones. I wish there was something implemented that suppressed notifications including trigger words. That would be super helpful on an app like this!
