Anxiety worse on Venlafaxine: Does it get better?

Has anyone felt like their anxiety or panic attacks have gotten worse on Venlafaxine? I've been on the low dose for over a week and the last three days, my anxiety level has been through the roof! I just started on 75mg today (Dr request) because my anxiety has been horrible! Please tell me it gets better! Feels like my anxiety has gotten way out of control. I'm hoping that in a week or so, it levels out and things will be ok. I've been a reck the last few days 🤞😵‍💫 😭

      Just a suggestion for anyone who may have a hard time falling asleep. I used to take it right at bedtime and by the time I woke up I was feeling ready to go lol. Then it would ware off by bedtime again

        @NotCrazy it didn't keep you awake at night? I am now taking 75mg around 9am and when it's bedtime I'm STILL having a hard time sleeping 😐

          @Ewok that's why I would take it just before I go to sleep. I was ok as long as I didn't wake up in the middle of the night or if I waited too long to go to sleep.

      I went bonkers with anxiety! I would literally freak out and pull my hair. Not pulling it out but you know. It was the best for my pain but I had to get off of it. I am on Desvenlafaxine now and it's better. Unfortunately it's not as good on the pain but I'm not on "freak out" mode now

        @NotCrazy oh no! I am so sorry, I'm glad that something else helped you. I think I'm going to have a conversation with my Dr, woke up this morning and my anxiety/panic attack was high (just waking up for the day 🤦‍♀️) are you having any side effects with Desvenlafaxine?

      I feel okay on it. I'm still restless but I have to take it cause of my fatty liver

        @sparklyangel the insomnia is horrible!!! I'm waking up every 2 hours, looking forward to that being GONE! lol

      ok, good to know, thank you for sharing, very helpful. I've only been on 75mg since around 2pm yesterday, I took them this morning, and today feel way better (Knock on wood) I hope it stays this way 🤞
