So does anyone feel bad if they stay at home and do nothing? I have a bit of perfectionism, and when I stay at home from school or work I feel like I have to be busy basically the whole day. I have to be productive; the only exception is when im bed bound. I'm pretty sure that this is just my anxious thoughts impeating on my brain. But I'm still learning to control my anxiety. Maybe I need to get ashwagandha pill.

I'm like this. All I want to do is sit around the house and relax; but if I actually do that, I feel like I "wasted" my day and I "did nothing". This is why I especially become depressed in the summer because I'm mostly just chilling but then I get down for "not being productive enough"

My issue is I will be too depressed to do anything and then I'll go home and beat myself up over it because I've done nothing. So yeah 😂

I get that too but it mostly comes from the residual trauma from my mother. She is a narcissistic abuser so she lets no one rest till she can and i feel that pressure and anxiety to be busy even now

i would say don’t beat yourself up too much. i also have those days where i sit in bed all day doing nothing, but i feel like having those days once and a while isn’t a bad thing; i think we all need rest and to take our minds off work and/or school. go easy on yourself. :]

@deardiary love that little smiley face at the end 😆❤. The most comforting one by far

I love staying at home and doing nothing. Don't be so hard on yourself ❤️

I get anxious from sitting around doing nothing. I actually start work tomorrow for the time in 3 years. Excited to get out of this bedroom.

I'm a little perfectionist myself. I try not to be but sometimes I can't help it. In 3rd grade I got a certificate for my teacher for a perfectionist award. My teacher was given an award for everyone for something similar to mine in a way.

Yes, absolutely. I feel like I always need to be doing something and when I have my rest days it feels like I'm falling behind even if I'm ahead in all of my schoolwork. If a project is due in a month and I don't do anything about it on the day it's assigned I'll go crazy
