does anyone else get really anxious and upset when your partner goes out to bars? I’m underage and can’t go, and even though I’ve had alcohol before (never been truly drunk) it makes me really upset when she goes. I’ve never seen her drunk and that thought terrifies me. Im trying to understand why I have such a strong aversion to it

People usually go to bars to hook up unless they're going with a group of friends... And even then, it depends on how trustworthy both your partner and the friends are otherwise whether you should be concerned. If it is a concern for you and they are your partner, they shouldn't be going to bars... Not to mention it can be a red flag for alcoholism and other problems. Sounds to me like you may need a new partner.

maybe because you're afraid of her doing something you don't agree with. I know that exact feeling and it's scary. I think it comes from all the movies and stories where we watched people get drunk and cheat or do something terrible. you should definitely talk to her about it though.

I kinda get this. Sometimes I’ll get upset about my partner using substances when I even use them myself and it’s not bad (alcohol, ouid) it’s sort of strange. Maybe FOMO? I don’t know haha
