oh no! Carpopedal spasms!!!! I had that once in Oct 2020. I left work early and was sitting in my car for a while because I felt really light headed. My friend came to pick me up because she didn't want me to drive. I started to feel like I was going to pass out and my hands were tingly, so I shook them and then suddenly my fingers started closing in on themselves, and i had no idea what was happening. I was a server at an independent living retirement home, and there was a lady who had had a massive stroke who's hands looked like that, so I assumed that's what was happening to me. I was so confused when the paramedics were asking me if I was prone to panic attacks 😅 probably the most painful thing I've ever been through! I wish they talked about that more, because seeing and feeling your hands curl up and not knowing what's happening does not help with the panic attack 😅😅

Yes mannnnnny times. Just focus on slow deep breaths. Try not to panic. If you hyperventilate it gets worse 😅 one time my hands seized up and my fingers curled in to my wrists while I was driving my feet felt like they were elephant feet and numb. Happened on a freeway. People must have thought I was drunk how bad I was driving. I couldn’t control the gas or break correctly 😩 I’m very lucky I got to a restaurant to tell bartender to call 911 because I didn’t know what was happening. When I stopped hyperventilating to talk to them my hands uncurled and I was able to get carbon dioxide back into my blood stream.🤦🏽 this only happened the first time I had a panic attack after that I knew what was going on. I’d get brain fog and tingly hands and feet, feel super drained.

not this exact situation but something similar. I ate something after putting hand sanitizer on my hands and thought I was having a heart attack for like 15 minutes afterwards. scariest thing ever. especially when on public transport.

it's definitely the worst feeling when it happens in public! I got all of my symptoms in the middle of a Walmart and felt like I was going to pass out twice! The feeling of embarrassment makes the symptoms worse!

My hands get tingling sensations when Im anxious. I suffer from health anxiety so I actually start to get pains in random spots as well at numb fingers which sends me into even more anxiety. It's a vicious cycle. I have been taking zoloft for almost 3 weeks and have noticed in the last few days my fearful thoughts of it being something deadly has got much better . Look into medicine. Doesn't have to be permanent just to get you through this rough time.

oh I get that too! I get sweaty feet and hands, numbness and tingling in my hands, arm, leg, and face (all mostly my right side), heart palpitations, severely light headed, brain fog, and I've had tinnitus for over a year now. I never feel anxiety or panic before I get hit with a wave and then of course I feel panicky as it's happening, which makes it worse. I have my first appt with a psychiatrist on Tuesday to talk about medication! :).

I'm sorry you've been through it, but I'm glad I'm not the only one that had experienced it. I went upstairs to take a nap and the whole right side of my body felt weak, numb, and hot. I've had that happen before, but this felt worse than before. I did my stroke check, and everything else was okay. Thought half my body was just about to stop working. 🥲
