Is it okay to take anxiety meds that may cause weight gain?

someone tell me it's okay for me to take my emergency anxiety meds even though they might make me gain weight, I woke up in a panic attack of the lingering variety with heart palpitations and so far my solution is just smoking lots of marijuana

Sounds so familiar... I've been down this road. Sweet pea ya can't NOT take your anxiety meds because you are experiencing anxiety over gaining weight. How could I say such a thing? Because you are thinking through all the negative avenues without a completely focused and settled brain. The power in change first comes from your mind by finding peace. From there build a "hope board" of the things you want out of life. When you see that board daily as a reminder of what YOU want. Your inner advocate (confident) self with grow stronger thinking of ways to obtain those goals. Rerouting that focus is key. You will see results later when you bump into someone down the road who comments on how well you look or compliments your success.

Ativan, works wonders and they did not in fact make me gain from taking them only when I'm panicking really bad
