i have severe anxiety disorder and have tried so many medications, but it’s hard to find the right one for me. i wish i could find something that would help calm me down and to relax, but also one that doesn’t put me to sleep. anyone have any recommendations? thanks in advance☺️

Venlafaxine I take everyday and Buspirone just for panic attacks and since I've started them, I haven't really had any anxiety at all. I used to constantly worry about everything and was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder. They both keep me awake and Buspirone is known to give you insomnia. I hope this helps 💕

Time of day you take it also made a huge difference for me! If it makes you alert/can't sleep try in the morning vs sleepy at night

Zoloft is the only thing that worked for me and therapy

I'm on fluoxotine for anxiety and it doesn't put me to sleep. It just makes me sleep really deeply when I do. Not as much recently tho, but for a while there I was having super intense dreams where night. Unfortunately, my meds for my other issues DO make me sleepy and may be why I don't have many dreams anymore. Idk...

the medicine that worked the absolute best for my anxiety was iv ketamine infusions. before that i was on a lot of heavy duty meds that caused me neurological damage bc i couldn’t function with my anxiety unmedicated but through ketamine treatments i was able to get off of several meds

@daydream.elf also also i know ketamine isn’t easily accessible but if you’re able to save up or find a program it is so so worth it
