Dealing with Anxiety-Induced Stomach Pain

I've been experiencing stomach pain/issues for quite a bit now and just got diagnosed with anxiety. Does anybody know how I can treat these stomach issues? I've been having them on and off for about 3 weeks straight.

Benefiber/Miralax. I do two caps 2 times a day. I have IBS as well and had to go to the hospital and trust me, laxatives are a BLESSING. If your stomach still hurts, try drinking some tea. If it worsens or doesn’t change, talk to your primary car doctor about this and seeing if they can recommend a gastrologist. (Stomach doctor) just incase its something else

My anxiety triggers my IBS, so it's possible you may be developing that. Depending on the issues, probiotics or diet change may help

Hi there! I talked to a doctor and I'm going on a bland diet and turns out my stomach has been backed up as well and taking laxatives. It's been working a little bit but I'm seeming to be a bit better

I use ginger candy or mints with chewable pepto or tums to get rid of the stomach symptoms quickly. Magnesium also helps with anxiety AND stomach issues so grab some milk of magnesia and magnesium gummies (CALM makes some). Those would all get to work pretty fast!

I’ve tried magnesium and it’s made it worse, I think 220mg is what I took. Are the gummies milder?

I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve had a similar situation. Treating my anxiety directly has definitely improved my stomach pain. Though some meds have worsened it, the one that I’m on now (lexapro) has been working, in addition to other supplements and therapy.
