i really like journaling. it isnt very organized other than the fact that all the pages are held together to form a book lol!! i put fruit stickers, fingerprints, doodles, origami, and all my thoughts down in there. its an artistic form of catharsis. getting the ick out of me and onto paper, so i dont have to bear as much of the weight.

All of the above are great methods! I’d also like to add that setting small goals is really great and motivating. Motivation is always an issue with depression, so if you feel like you can’t get out of bed, then set a goal to sit up in bed rather than lay down. If you can’t bring yourself to shower, have a package of wipes next to your bed to wipe your face/body, and so on. Eventually, you will be able to fight through the madness and distress 💙

Grounding techniques (Laying on the ground outside), getting sunshine. Light exercise (Anything helps). Smoothies and healthier foods if you can!

I haven’t been going into the office anymore. I am lucky to have a manager that understands what I am going through and is there for me and also supports what I need to do to get better. I work from home next to the complex pool sitting in the sun, eating fruit and feeling the breeze on my skin. What I find completely interesting is that the weather seems to be nicer lately, less warm and just perfect to sit outside and enjoy and I’m in California. You have to believe that these are signs that you aren’t alone.

I’ve been meditating and practicing progressive muscle relaxation. My anxiety has been at is absolute worse and my fears and stress have taken a toll. Trust me, both of these work as well as breathing. I’m considering getting a pet to help with just being home alone. I also write and listen to soothing music mostly to help me sleep but music in general is good. ❤️

Stretching/ simple yoga are my absolute favorite go to! And even if it sounds generic, deep breaths. Make yourself a good music playlist, light candles, pet an animal (if u have one) Journal, talk to a friend, do some cleaning. These all help me and hope they help u too :)
