Anxiety before bed: fear of dying in sleep

Does anyone else get anxiety before bed? I fear of dying in my sleep and I get so anxious to fall asleep. It doesn't happen every night but I had a panic attack earlier so my anxiety is on high alert, afraid it's going to happen again. Any tips for me?

Me too!! I went to group therapy & when they would do meditation I would leave the room because it was super quiet and making me overly anxious. There’s nothing wrong with you! We don’t always agree with what works for everyone else. Sometimes we have to find our own comfort & path! Try a soothing snack tho! I’m literally hooked on chocolate milk. I’ve been drinking a cup for 2 weeks before bed now. 😂

I'm glad to hear I'm not alone. However I'm sorry you have to deal with this too :'( yes!! Meditation makes me more anxious too! I thought there was something wrong with me.

Yes!! I have horrible insomnia but I try to drink or eat something soothing — for me this is chocolate milk or something soft. I know this isn’t the healthiest thing before bed, but it’s the only thing that works for me without using prescriptions or tons of Benadryl. I also watch a show that I’ve seen thousands of times and is mind-numbing for me. I know tv doesn’t work for a lot of people, but it works for me! Find things that soothe you, even if they aren’t typical for everyone else. Meditation is great for others, yet makes me more anxious.
