Anxiety and Bathroom Urges

When I have bad anxiety or feel like an anxiety attack is coming on I get this feeling low in my stomach and butt (sorry TMI) that makes me feel the need to go to the bathroom even if I don't actually need to go, anyone else feel this?

When anxious, I used to have to stop several times while walking for fear of not controlling it!

Yess. Emotions and gut health are super connected. I recommend looking into it. What you’re experiencing makes total sense

.05 mg Xanax helps me. If I have a flare-up I take it 2x a day.

I also take Xanax same amount but it makes me super constipated so I don't take it much now.

Antibiotics have a tendency to make me constipated, I manage it with a high fiber diet. I definitely believe that emotions are responsible for my IBS issues. Every time I receive upsetting news I experience a flare-up. I'm also on a low FODMAP diet.

My previous primary doc told me that was a fight, flight or freeze response. He said my body would get anxious and try to "void" anything to make me lighter so I could flight my way out of the situation faster. It kind of makes sense. But I also know that anxiety is the devil and it is obsessed with our intestines and likes fighting with them and we're the child that gets the raw end of the deal.
