A lot of people say anxiety is from worrying too much or overthinking things. I don’t really worry about things. When I have an anxiety attack it’s usually random and feels more like my nervous system is in full fight or flight mode out of no where. Is this common?

Yes, that’s for me too. I hate trying to explain it to people because they never understand ( including other people with anxiety)

I used to think that too but then I was able to identify that it usually stemmed from me thinking there was something wrong with me because of something minor and that'd usually trigger the fight or flight mode for me.

Anxiety attacks can also stem from trauma. If anything, write it out! Whatever is upsetting you regardless of how minor it is, just write it out. Journaling is allowing your brain to relax.

Me too, when I tell someone that I’m experiencing anxiety right now their like why? Like what’s causing it? But I don’t really feel like there’s a main cause to it, it’s when the anxiety starts that I actually start overthinking everything.

Also, drinking water and focusing on your breathing can help.
