Anxiety and Intimacy: How to Overcome the Struggle

I apologize if this question is awkward. Does intimacy become difficult for those who have anxiety? I'm trying to find a better way to keep my anxiety from interfering with being intimate with my husband. Again I apologize for asking.

It can, especially for those who have anxiety specifically surrounding intimacy. I've found that it can help to have more open discussions with your partner about how you're feeling and how they can help you both to feel more relaxed and comfortable before, during, and after. Like for an example, I find that for my partner and I plenty of gentle reassurance before and during, along with extra cuddle time after can really help to ease my anxiety and make the experience more enjoyable for both of us. I'd try talking to your partner about how you're feeling/what's on your mind and see if the two of you can come up with a system that works best for you. ~best wishes 🤗
