Dealing with Anxiety and Its Effects on Health

I’m struggling with anxiety and a panic disorder. Does anyone else’s anxiety affect their health? I have been having really dizzy spells and my doctor tells me it’s my anxiety and panic.

So much. And it’s super common. I get dizzy spells, muffled hearing, shortness of breath, muscle knots in my back, and then just general feelings of weirdness or wrongness.

That happens to me too. The only things that helped me were medication and therapy.

I definitely get physical symptoms like that from my anxiety! Stress and anxiety also aggravate my EDS and POTS

I started getting unbearable abdominal pain and people said it was probably just anxiety. Nope, it was chronic pancreatitis from undiagnosed cystic fibrosis. Lmao.

You are definitely not alone! I had such bad anxiety and stress this fall that caused a whole host of issues: stomach problems, dizziness, back pain, nausea, vomiting and it was so hard for me to believe that it was my anxiety because it was so bad. But as I’ve taken the stress out of my life and focused on my health - it’s all gotten SO much better as my anxiety has also gotten better.

Hi! Yes, my anxiety exacerbates my asthma… and my asthma flares my anxiety. A fun little circle I go in! 🙃

Omg yes, when I have panic attacks, or am just really stressed. I become really nauseous and dizzy and my muscles become sore like I'm sick. You're not alone in that.
