Did antidepressants help you? Seeking advice.

Did antidepressants help you? If so, for how long? I'm about to see a doctor and tell her about my symptoms and I hope that she can prescribe me something that can help. I already get therapy and exercise and eat right.

i've tried 3 different anti-depressants, and none worked for me. some didn't change much, and others made it worse. i've been off them for awhile now and feel great. of course, i'm on other medications though. it just deoends on how your body works with what you're prescribed.

I just started Zoloft yesterday and it’s my first time taking meds at 32. I try a lot of natural remedies but this is a last resort to try to help with other symptoms.

I've been on Sertraline (Zoloft) for about 2-3ish years and it works pretty well! About a year or so into it I had to up my dosage from 50mg to 100mg (all approved with my doctor) bc my body got use to it. After upping it, it went back to working as intended. Of course the obvious "Everybody and every body is different" sentiment applies here, so the best you can do is what you plan on doing which is talking to your doctor and finding what works best for you! Hope you find something that works ❤️

Meds have been the thing that has helped me the most! I am not able to function off them. I’ve had good results with Zoloft and celexa. I’ve also been on buspar and Wellbutrin

Zoloft for 10 years, Celexa for 5 years, and currently on Lexapro because after years my brain develops a tolerance for antidepressants.
