Concerned about Anemia Symptoms

i have not been diagnosed with anemia, just been told to get bloodwork done by my friend who had trained to be a doctor. i just wanted to explain my symptoms and see if i should actually get it done (absolutely terrified of needles due to medical trauma of getting bloodwork done lol). the one that made her worry the most is mostly when i stand up i have a few different reactions, the most common one is getting dizzy and being very disoriented (i commonly trip in this state), another one is my vision going completely black and getting lightheaded, and the last one is just dizziness which is the second most common. i bruise easy, normally not knowing where most bruises came from. when i get cold my fingernails are a bluish purple and if i’m really really cold my hands turn into a sickly kind of blue. my toenails are always purple, never seen them a normal color. kinda forgot the rest lol but anemia runs in my family if that helps.

You need to see your Dr now. Turning blue could be respiratory or heart.A needle is just a source for them to get what they need. Ask for an anesthesiologist. They know what they are doing. I had a device put in my heart last Oct.Got stuck SIX times that morning. My veins, due to age, have started to roll, but, nursing skill has everything to do with it. Remember,if you don't have your health, you have nothing. If you don't take care of yourself, who will? I say that kindly because I'm very concerned for you.

I'd definitely get it checked out if you can (I get that the blood work may be an obstacle in your journey) or maybe try some otc iron supplements? Take a few of those for a little while see if that doesn't help anything? Definitely having the dizzy/lightheaded spells and the fatigue are signs.
