Amitriptyline for Fibromyalgia: Share Your Experience

I cannot sleep without it. Literally, I cannot actually go to sleep unless I have it. And it helps with some pains and headaches.

I took Amytriptyline at 12 and 16. It didn't do anything good or bad. Doctor said it worked for about 30% of people in her experience

Made me feel like absolute rubbish the next morning. Was fine in the evening but the next morning I was so zoned out. Very disorienting and couldn't keep my eyes open 😴

My experience with Amitriptyline was the most horrible experience I’ve ever had with a medication in my life. I made the mistake of taking it for the first time when I got to work because I didn’t feel good and thought it might help well 30-50 minutes later I felt so out of body (drugged up) that I couldn’t do my job. I had no idea where I was. I couldn’t drive and couldn’t remember anyone’s phone number to come get me. It was so embarrassing so that I was the first and last time I ever took this medication. If you do try might wanna stay at home first time or take before bed.
