Does anyone taking amitriptyline have a fast heart rate? I am at 25mg nightly for Fibro and depression. Noticed about a week after starting this med, my heart rate was always at 118 or so. The docs are wanting to increase my does to 50 due to the fact that 25mg isn't helping much for depression, anxiety and fibro now. I'm scared if I start taking the higher dose my HR will be even higher.

Let me know what you find out, if you don't mind. I go to my doctor this coming Thursday so I'm going to ask more about it. :)

@lynn01 I just sent mine a message!
@fibrozombie awesome!! Keep me posted.
Yes! I'm on 200mg though. I've been trying to connect a med to my high heart rate and never realized it could be Amitriptyline!
@fibrozombie good to know you have it as well. From what I read and my doc...it can cause fast heart rate. My doc says it should subside though! Hoping so!
@lynn01 I've been on it for a long time so it's interesting.
