so I was recently told by a guy I've been talking to who called me narcissistic and manipulative. i looked up different forms of narcissism and I do see where he says it but it got me wondering if I suffer from the disorder

@tfrex it doesn't sound like you are narcissistic but maybe if you feel there is some truth to stuff and you self harm, and just that he is making you question yourself so much makes me think there is a chance you could have borderline personality disorder. I think if you were narcissistic you would just ignore him and say he's not good enough for you and not even fancy his thoughts on anything.

that's rare. That's less than the number of people who intentional started fires in DC last year

It's extremely rare for a person to be truly narcissistic. Just by the fact that you're asking indicates you are not. We can all show symptoms of many mental health diagnosis but technically only a professional can tell you if you are or not. Don't let this guy stay in your head. Check with your Dr and let it go ❤️ my daughter swipe for years that I was narcissistic just because I followed some suggestions by industry leaders on how to communicate better. They said start every sentence with "I feel ___ because ___" then ask a question. So in my desperate attempts to stay connected with my daughter through her young adult life she misinterpreted me as narcissistic. I'm not saying that's your case. And while you're single you should always look out for yourself!!! You are a priority at any age!!! But people who aren't happy try to find fault.

@GracefulKim it's not that rare, the rate is around 1%, so out of 100 people, one would be a true narcissist.

The only way to know for sure is to get evaluated by a psychiatrist. To help make you a healthier partner, you can seek therapy

@Sunflower.System I will definitely do so. He told me he can't be with me for those reasons and it hurt me bad. He also threw my self harming in my face
