Looking for Alternatives to Palliative Treatment

My doctors have been telling me that they can't offer anything but palliative treatment. has anyone else found things that work?

I know it sounds impossible if you’re in a lot of pain, but physical therapy has made a really big difference in my pain levels and abilities. I’ve noticed little things like pulling out drawers and opening windows aren’t completely pulling at my shoulders like they used to. It wasn’t a cure all, but it’s definitely been a good foundation. Be sure if you do it to find physical therapists who are very familiar with EDS, because they will give you the proper exercises and make sure not to push too far or make anything worse. It’s very slow moving at first with small exercises and strengthening movements so it can feel frustrating but I noticed a huge improvement so it felt worth it.
