Looking for alternatives to Benadryl for severe insomnia

I'm aware that taking as much of this medication as I do is dangerous and wish to find alternatives to eventually stop relying on it: I take Benadryl every night to be able to fall asleep for at least a little bit due to severe prolonged insomnia. the highest amount I've ever taken is 14, 25mg tablets and they kick in over an hour later. is there anyone with any experience taking as much as I have and any advice on eventually quitting so tnat it's not required for me to be able to fall asleep?

I have Benadryl injections I take for my chronic migraines but I also used to take oral pills and there is a risk when taking a high dose. I found that after taking the otc pills it wasn’t as effective in helping me sleep so I instead reached out to my primary care provider and they prescribed me a muscle relaxer that helps me sleep. It’s at a low dose and works wonders. I would suggest reaching out to your doctor if that is an option for you.
