Alternative ways to manage anxiety without medication

Hello, is there anything that can/will help lower my anxiety INSTEAD of meds, bc I'm tired of taking pills??

My therapist gave me a great hack for when you start to feel an anxiety attack coming on and it works so well for me. When I feel an attack coming on, I put a cinnamon Lysterine breath strip on my tongue and the taste is so intense it snaps me out of whatever I was freaking out about. They are so tiny to carry with you anywhere and you can find them on Amazon. Give it a try!

I take St. John's Wort to help mellow me out. It's herbal. For me, I have absolutely no bad side effects. I try to stay busy and surround myself with positive people/energy. I read scripture.

I'd say the meds are something that help but can't be the only thing in your metaphorical arsenal. Therapy helps more than you think. And at the very least, one advice I can pass from my own therapist to you is to remember when you're anxious to take the time to do deep breathing. The advice is done to death, but it does help. Often we hyperventilate without even noticing. So try the in through the nose for 5 seconds, hold for 5, out for 5 from the mouth, hold for 5, repeat. It forces your body to start to calm down.
