I find that doing something that provides an adrenaline dump helps. I ride an electric scooter, and that provides the adrenaline dump I need for the day.

Psychotherapy combined with meds is usually the first line treatment for depression. There are a lot of different types of therapies that work for depression so trying out different groups or therapists is a good idea, if you have access. There are also apps that use therapies like CBT and ACT which could be a cheaper option. If therapy and/or traditional meds don’t work you can look into stuff like ECT, TMS, ketamine, etc. but I wouldn’t start with those.

if you can find a psychiatrist office that offers it, ketamine treatments helped me tremendously. however it’s pretty expensive so i don’t keep up with it now. i’ve also found acupuncture to be helpful!
