All of the above comments are so true. Some foods to avoid are soy, dairy, gluten, sugar, preservatives, potatoes (sweet potatoes are ok in moderation), kale, excess nightshade veggies….it seems like an infinite list sometimes but it’s very doable. I eat a lot of good fats like avocados and coconut oil, as well as fish, lean meat, thyroid-safe fruits and veggies, and for a snack dark chocolate is king (72 percent cocoa at least). Green tea also helps, and dandelion tea can but ask a doctor first about that one. D3 and B-12 supplements are also a total game-changer. Hope this helps!

ive found what i eat + the portions make a difference. homemade meals are the best but its difficult when u r on a budget and busy u.u i try to keep gluten and dairy at a minimum too. also trying to have a consistent routine helps too, "circadian rythm". like taking your medication, waking up, breakfast, sleeping at a certain time each day. its not easy but it helps i think :3

Cutting gluten & dairy helped me a lot. I’ve also been drinking more green & black tea after reading some articles that they are anti-inflammatory. The hardest one for me is…rest when you need to rest. If I zonk out for a whole weekend, I usually find I have a lot more energy on Monday. Getting good rest/sleep will help all around.

Diet changes. If you have hypothyroidism, soy = bad! Soy has chemicals that mess with your thyroid hormones. The problem is it is nearly impossible to avoid soy in grocery store food. Almost everyone uses soy protein, soy letchin, or soybean oil in processed foods. So, to avoid soy 100% you basically have to buy raw ingredients and cook from scratch yourself.

coffee creamer even has soy! I make my own out of raw sugar and a soy-free powdered creamer. Soy is such a sneaky ingredient…
