Other ways that can help eating disorders is to make a meal plan of what and when you're going to eat and make sure to try your best to stay on that list. Take in to your best abilities the quality of the food you are going to eat and what affects it will have on your body for example Bing eating can lead to a likeness in obesity so try and chose foods that are healthy but you also like, ex. Grilled chicken and a few vegetables. Or if being obese had a side affect of high cholesterol they might would want to incorporate more beans and nuts to help lower it. ❤️stay safe and live life thank you for reading.

I think counseling/therapy is your best option, if it’s available to you. Since it would help you address and overcome any anxiety, depression, negative thinking, or self-esteem problems that often result in anorexia as a form of control. Therapy would help change the way you think about yourself and food. It would also help you to trust yourself and your own judgement. I don’t think it’s helpful, and could be potentially dangerous, to limit yourself to eating only healthy foods, as this could lead to orthorexia (which is what happened to me). Truthfully, you can eat any kind of food in moderation, especially with exercise (which can be dangerous too, and when dealing with EDs should also be done in moderation). So I would try to incorporate many different kinds of foods into a diet that you feel comfortable with. Instead of seeing food as fat or the enemy, see it as fuel for your body and mind. One tip/thought that really helped to change my perspective was “treat your body as if it is your best friend’s and you’re just borrowing it”. You would probably want to feed it just enough, exercise just enough, and not judge it constantly. Treat yourself like your best friend, even if you think you hate yourself rn
