Fodmap diet Metamucil-Psyllium supplementation may help with constipation, improve cholesterol levels, manage symptoms associated with IBS, and help with blood sugar management in people with diabetes. However, it does not appear to help with weight loss. Excercise

Meds will relieve specific symptoms but not cure your IBS. It's better to try herbs, diet, yoga to fix IBS

I saw a gastroenterologist and she provided me with an entirely new diet to manage my IBS symptoms. It cut out quite a bit which may not be agreeable for everyone but it has definitely helped. It cut out pork, red meat, carbonated beverages, processed foods, sugars, onions, garlic, raw veggies. I may be forgetting something but I stick mostly to turkey products now and if i do consume something off the list I make it very small and not often. It has made a difference for me.

I found that stress made my IBS worse therefore managing stress really made a huge difference, along with seeing a gastroenterologist.
