other then lumbar punctures and medicine is there any other way to treat the fluid?

      There are also 2 surgeries that can be done, but usually in cases where nothing else helps. The more common one is the LP Shunt, which basically involves a tube from the cavity around the brain into your stomach/bladder/abdominal cavity. It’s a pretty invasive surgery. More recently, there’s research on the VP Stent, which involves a device that helps open up a specific blood vessel that has been known to help reduce pressure in some cases. That one is more minimally invasive, but also less common

      It depends on your underlying reason for having IIH. I find relief by cutting out caffeine and strength training. I think working on muscle strength not only helps stabilize your blood sugar levels, but it also helps in hormone regulation. Some people find that weightloss helps. I lost 100 pounds and got worse. Also, apparently certain strains of marijuana decrease pressure.
