Looking for Alternative Treatments for Depression While on Wellbutrin

So I’ve had depression for quite a while but didn’t actually get on medication for it until last year 2021. Started taking Wellbutrin (XL form) and it went well at the start and overtime it’s steadily wavered 😮‍💨 I know it’s still helping because last week, I ran out of my prescription due to an error with placing my prescription order and I steadily felt worse and worse until I couldn’t get out of bed. The thing is, I still feel, off… like I’ll feel too overwhelmed to be able to do anything (but not depressed). I’m wondering if anyone’s tried alternative treatments with Ketamine or shrooms and how that went? Also open to hearing about other drugs I could potentially add to my wellbutrin dosage.

So Wellbutrin is a norepinephrine and dopamine reuptake inhibitor. I used to be on it solo and felt similar to you. The missing key ended up being serotonin. Maybe ask your doctor about starting a low dose of something like escitalopram, which is an SSRI
