What is an alternative solution for migraines? I've been taking OTC Excedrin Extra Strength with coffee on top of staying in a dark room and have had no results.

if you can, try seeing a neurologist. I haven’t for some time but when I did, they give me some options even though I didn’t like mine. please be careful with excedrin. you can get rebounds and that is exactly what happened to me. there’s cooling pads you can try, see what triggers you, but going to a neurologist is your best bet. they can try to see the root of the issues and if not, they can at least prescribe meds to see if they help.

I try peppermint or spearmint essential oils on my temples and the tip of my nose. Just smelling it helps. I also use this mint nasal inhaler that also seems to help relieve inflammation in general when I smell it. Or I’ll chew mint gum. That’s one thing I’ve found really helps me

Find a Dr. They can help you try medications that can help.

Some alternative solutions for migraines include taking a Sudafed with Excedrin, then having a hot shower with an ice pack for the head. Drinking ginger tea three times a day or using a heating pad where the pain is coming from can also help. Other suggestions include drinking something with caffeine in it and taking ibuprofen. Some people find that a cool damp washcloth over the eyes with a compression mask over, lights off helps. A supplement called MigreLief has also been suggested, which can be taken at night or in the morning. Drinking about 20 oz of water as soon as one starts to notice a migraine can also be beneficial.
