My doctor has me taking double doses of omega 3. My cholesterol is down to about 230. Not as low as they want it but not terrible either.

I have been taking both statin and none statin drugs since 2016 and never got below 260. 4 months ago I quit all white starches [wheat/potatoes] and all types of sugar [including fruit/honey/manmade] because my sugar was creeping up and I recently tested at 240. A real breakthrough, even with non statin meds.

Taking a garlic supplement has helped my numbers tremendously. Statins give me liver failure. Diet helps a lot too. For this avoid beef, nuts (except walnuts), anything but non fat dairy, sugary drinks and unfortunately fruit. Good Luck!
