Alcoholic Arthritis: Does Anyone Else Suffer from This?

does anyone suffer from alcoholic arthritis? It's not a definition in here yet, but I'm curious if anyone else has this problem? I'm a recovering alcoholic and this is one of a few more things that I suffer from from my drinking. Anybody?

Can you help? Connect today

I'm 14 days sober. I'm going through the same thing. Leg cramps my feet feel like pins and needles, it sucks. On top of that I have Accute Pancratis. Hang in there, that's what I'm telling myself.

eat bananas and drink Gatorade. You are having some withdrawals, even still and need to replenish your potassium and electrolytes.

I've been sober for over 2 years! Praise the Lord! I almost died and let me tell you.. the recovery was immense. I couldn't have done it without God. And God for you for not drinking too!

If you're feet are numb and tingly, you might have neuropathy in your feet. I do. And it sucks. Take gabapentin. I couldn't function without it. I hope you get your pacreatitus under control. It's only been two weeks! So hopefully as time goes on, it'll get better. I had the same thing too in the hospital but it got better.

I do take gabapentin, my roommate is a army veteran, I have an unlimited supply. Does the tingling go away? I hope I haven't done any permanent damage to myself. I'm going to make an appointment with my regular doctor for blood work in May. I've drank for 13 years, sometimes alot sometimes afew drinks...I've always drank Vodka, it seemed to help me forget. I've been through alot of loss. Then I felt like I had to drink to feel normal. What a joke right? When I was in detox at the hospital day 1 I was having heart failure, sweats, and super bad shakes. There they asked my if I wanted to be resuscitated. That makes you wake up, I told them to get the paddles charged. I want to live.

I'm 15 days sober, and yes I have it. I worked in my yard today with many breaks. The tops of my ankles hurt BAD. I have been getting cramps in my calfs but not today.

Please ask to be referred to a Hepatologist. That is a liver specialist. It’s good to go ahead and establish care with them, in case something worse (liver related) comes up. It’s what I did.
