I haven’t left the house in 2 years and I’m starting a medication soon. My mom keeps pestering to go out with me but she will not understand my disorder. Or believe me in any way. What do I do because she gets mad every time I say no. She could never be a safe person too, but I’m homebound .

Find it on youtube how people who has the same thing as you and let her listen to them. She will understand the way you feel because this is real, ask her to be your supporter. I am also afraid to go outside by myself and even with my family but when i go somewhere i just tell them to be next to me and if i need to leave and come back home they have to listen to me.. its very hard for person to understand what we go through , if a person never went through this they don’t know how we feel.. so just let her listen or read about it or you can go to the doctor with her and let her listen to your conversation with the doctor.. ask her for support and that u really need her to be a good supporter so u can feel a little better.. good luck
